Abstract:
The development of hyperspectral remote sensing technology enables the precise identification of vegetation possible. In order to explore the ability to identify different urban vegetation in different bands, the ASD FieldSpec Pro FR portable spectroscope was used to measure hyperspectral data of four different tree species, such as Euonvmus Japonicus cv.Aureo-ma, Sabina chinensis, Ophiopogon japonicas and Viburnum awabuki in this research. The method of the continuum removal was used to deal with the original spectral data of four tree species. The curves of the original spectrum and the continuum removal were compared and the bands with greater differencesa (550~780 nm) were selected to identify the different tree species.By computing the absorption area and symmetry to comparea and anaylsis the sperctal characteristic of different urban vegetation types. The Euonvmus Japonicus cv.Aureo-ma can be identified according to the difference of the absorption area and symmetry. Further, with first-order derivative continuum removal spectrum curve, it showed that there were various at different vegetation in the 610~620 nm and 670~680 nm spectrum. So they can be effectively used to identify Sabina chinensis, Ophiopogon japonicas and Viburnum awabuki Sabina chinensis.he results showed that the continuum removal was an effective method and can be prominent features of reflect spectral such as curvature and absorption depth, which helps to discriminate tree species. The study provides available scientific base for vegetation investigation and monitoring.
