Abstract:
The ecological pollution risk assessment and metal source identification of 7 heavy metals (Cr、Mn、Ni、Cu、Zn、As、Pb) from HZ02 core sediments in Haizhou bay have been respectively carried out by using multiple evaluation methods and multivariate analysis method.The result shows that the average concentration values of heavy metals are Cr (92.56×10
-6), Mn (1492.02×10
-6), Ni (48.01×10
-6), Cu (40.24×10
-6), Zn (116.23×10
-6), As (17.98×10
-6) and Pb (44.98×10
-6).In descending order, the relative average concentrations of these heavy metals is Mn > Zn > Cr > Ni > Cu > Pb > As.The sediment of the core HZ02 recorded the environmental change in the last 100 years.The concentrations of 7 heavy metals increased gradually since 1980, while reached their low peak of values around 1985 to 1990, and increased rapidly after 1990.The assessment results of these 7 heavy metals from core sediments in Haizhou bay show that there are mild to moderate pollution existed by using 5 different assessment methods.The multivariate analysis results show that the heavy metals can be divided into three groups:the first group, such as Cr, Ni, Cu and Zn, is derived from industrial and urban pollution emissions; the second group is Mn and As, which may come from agricultural pollution; and the last group is Pb, which probably comes from harbor traffic.
