Abstract:
Based on three global wind products that is CCMP, ERA-Interim and NCEP-DOE, this study had conducted linear trend test and variability analysis for the sea surface wind over China seas from 1985 to 2013.The results indicate that three kinds wind products have some divergences as regards its varying trend and regional variation intension of sea surface wind. Both CCMP and NCEP-DOE show that sea surface wind over China sea has a significant linear increasing trend with an ascent rate of 0.050 m/s·a or 0.015 m/s·a, but the rapid increasing rate of CCMP wind speed maybe imply a factor of upraising wind speed resulted from its background change of data assimilation.ERA-Interim show that there is no distinct linear trends of increasing and decreasing in sea surface wind variation of China sea from 1985 to 2013.As for the effecting of zonal seas on speedup of sea surface wind of China sea, the consequence of NCEP-DOE is opposite to that of CCMP.CCMP suggests that wind speed increasing of Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea is the strongest among the four zonal seas. However, NCEP-DOE reveals that the wind speed increasing of those areas is the weakest.
