Abstract:
In this paper, we collected fatty acid data of Acanthopsis japonicus from 7 locations and fatty acid data of Holothuria from 3 locations to investigate the fatty acid changes with latitude, these data include sixteen carbon saturated fatty acid (16:0), eighteen carbon saturated fatty acid (18:0), Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA, 20:5n-3) and Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA, 22:6n-3).The results showed that the percentage of EPA and DHA of Acanthopsis japonicus decreased with the reduce of latitude. The percentage of EPA and DHA of Holothuria decreased with the reduce of latitude, while the percentage of 16:0 and 18:0 increased with the reduce of latitude.
