Abstract:
The diversification of microplastic extraction methods from aquatic organisms resulted in different detection ratios of microplastics, which led to the poor comparability among studies. Therefore, an efficient approach for extraction and isolation of microplastics from aquatic organisms is of significance. In this review, we summarized the digestion efficiency of different digestion solutions and their corrosiveness to polymers, and analyzed the effects of different membrane filters used in microplastic identification. The advantages and disadvantages of different methods were compared in this review.
