Abstract:
Uninhabited island is an important marine space resource. With the rapid development of marine economy, the unreasonable development is increasing, which leads to the tightening of island resource constraints and the degradation of ecological environment. This paper evaluates the current situation of resource and environment carrying capacity of uninhabited island in 21 counties in the Bohai Sea, by using the combination relationship between the development intensity and ecological status. The evaluation results show that there are 6 counties whose resource and environment carrying capacity of uninhabited island is in a state of overload. Overload areas are distributed in Liaoning province, Hebei province and Shandong province, showing obvious spatial differentiation. It is found that there is a significant correlation between the resource and environment carrying capacity and the island development intensity. It shows that the construction activities inevitably have a negative impact on the island resource and environment. At present, the overloaded counties in the Bohai Sea have reached 28.57%. We must implement restrictive measures, control the scale of development, and properly carry out the restoration of damaged islands.
