Abstract:
Nemerow index method based on characteristic factors of shallow groundwater, such as Cl
-, SO
42-, TDS, γCl/γHCO
3 and SAR was introduced to investigate seawater invasion of Dongying.The current results indicated that most of the sampling points were influenced by seawater intrusion, accounting for 83% in 70 survey sites, 56% of which were seriously invaded.According to spatial interpolation analysis from GIS, more than 90% areas of Dongying were in a high seawater-invasion level, and the extent of seawater intrusion presented a zonal distribution from south to north, increasing gradually from land to sea.In addition, three in four groundwater funnel centers had been affected by seawater intrusion.Compared with fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method and analyzed of agreement with the current situation, the results showed that Nemerow index method could be used for seawater intrusion evaluation if appropriate characteristic factors of groundwater were selected.
