Abstract:Coastal wetland types and their variation tendency in Dalian Jinpu Newly Developed Area of recent 35 years (1982-2016) were quantification according to analyze the series of LandSat satellite remote sensing images and field investigation. Moreover, the driving forces causing these changes were identified qualitatively and quantitatively. The mainly results were as follows:(1) the coastal wetland in this area had undergoing a dramatic change in recent 35 years, (2) human activities such as reclamation were the dominated driving forces for these change, (3) intense coupling relationship were identified between coastal wetland usage and local economics in our present case. This research can provide scientific guidance for the use of the coastal area, which will be of enormous benefit for the advancement of the whole urbanization process.
